Transitional review of modern awards - apprentices,trainees and juniors - non-common matters - lift industry allowance.
A. Further to the decision of 28 November 2013 1 and pursuant to Item 6,Schedule 5 of the Fair Work (Transitional Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Act 2009,the Building and Construction General On-site Award 20102 is varied as follows:
1. By deleting clause 42.2(b) and inserting the following:
(b) Apprentices must be paid the following proportion of the appropriate lift industry allowance:
Year of apprenticeship | % of allowance |
First year of apprenticeship | 55 |
Second year of apprenticeship | 65 |
Third year of apprenticeship | 75 |
Fourth year of apprenticeship | 90 |
2. By updating all cross references accordingly.
B. This determination comes into operation on the first full pay period commencing on or after 1 January 2014.
