Application on the initiative of the Commission to vary the General Retail Industry Award 2020 –Schedule B—Summary of Hourly Rates of Pay –award specific penalty rates claims –implementation of transitional arrangements.

A. Further to the Statement [[2021] FWC 1033] issued by the Fair Work Commission on 25 February 2021,the above award is varied as follows:

1. By deleting the third row of table 11 at clause 22.1 —containing the rates for “Monday to Friday —after 6:00pm (1 October 2020 to 28 February 2021).

2. By deleting “(from 1 March 2021)”in the fourth row of table 11 at clause 22.1.

3. By deleting the table appearing in clause B.2.1 and inserting the following:

B. This determination comes into operation from 1 March 2021. In accordance with s.165(3) of the Fair Work Act 2009,this determination does not take effect in relation to a particular employee until the start of the employee’s first full pay period that starts on or after 1 March 2021.
