The Hospitality Award covers employees working for a restaurant that’s part of a hotel or resort.
It covers them even if the restaurant and the hotel or resort have different owners.
Example: Restaurant in a resort
Coconut Restaurant is in the Paradise Resort. Coconut Restaurant is owned and operated by the resort. All employees working in the restaurant are covered by the Hospitality Award.
Paradise Resort decides to lease out the restaurant space, and a separate company now operates it. The employees working in the restaurant are still covered by the Hospitality Award.
