Overtime is calculated on an employee’s casual ordinary hourly rate.
The casual ordinary hourly rate is made up of:
- the minimum hourly rate
- any all-purpose allowances
- the casual loading.
If a casual gets paid any all-purpose allowances, they must be added to the minimum hourly rate before calculating the casual loading.
