Where trainee pay rates are found depends on the trainee's employment type.
- full-time trainee pay rates are in clause 19.10
- part-time trainee pay rates are in the National Training Wage Schedule
- school-based trainee pay rates are in the National Training Wage Schedule.
When should a full-time trainee progress to the next pay rate?
A full-time trainee will progress through the relevant stages following competency based assessments.
A full-time civil construction trainee can only progress to Stage 3 if they're undertaking a Certificate III.
