• part-time trainee pay rates are in the National Training Wage Schedule
• school-based trainee pay rates are in the National Training Wage Schedule.

When should a full-time trainee progress to the next pay rate?

A full-time trainee will progress through the relevant stages following competency based assessments.

A full-time civil construction trainee can only progress to Stage 3 if they're undertaking a Certificate III.
