Casuals get overtime if they work more than:

  • 38 hours in a week, 76 hours in a fortnight or 152 hours over 28 days
  • 10 hours in a shift or day.

Casuals don't get overtime for working outside the span of ordinary hours.

Overtime is calculated on an employee’s casual hourly rate. The casual hourly rate is the minimum hourly rate plus the casual loading.
