Casuals can be shiftworkers in the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award.

When a casual works shiftwork, they get paid:

  • their base pay rate
  • the casual loading
  • the relevant shift allowance.

The casual loading and the shift allowance are calculated on the base pay rate.
