Where a full-time employee’s RDO falls on a public holiday that is a Saturday or Sunday, they get:

  • an extra 7.6 hours pay at their ordinary time rate
  • 7.6 hours of extra annual leave, or
  • a different day off on another week day.

Does this apply to part-time employees?

No. Part-time employees don’t get extra entitlements if their RDO falls on a Saturday or Sunday and that day is a public holiday.
