A full-time employee will progress after working at a pay point for 1 year.

If they’re part-time or casual, they’ll progress after working 1,824 hours at that pay point.

Pay point progression is based on industry experience and can include experience with a previous employer.

Example

Peter is a graduate physiotherapist who has a four year degree.  He’s paid as a level 1, pay point 3 Health Professional worker.

Peter is part-time and works 24 hours a week.

After 76 weeks, Peter will have worked 1,824 hours and will be progressed to level 1, pay point 4.
